Modified Resolution agreed upon by the PMA in Portland:

Housing is a Human Right - Reclaim!

Because: Housing is a Human Right. 

Because: The city, state, and federal government are unable to address the housing crisis. 

Because: It is not the banks, but our community that can make the decision to not accept houseless people and people-less houses in our community. 

Enough is enough! This is a call to unite and organize in the defense of our community’s control of housing and land. 

1. Resolved: That the PMA recognize housing as a human right.

2. Resolved: That the PMA support community control over housing because the housing market, city, state, and federal government cannot fill the imperative to provide housing for all.

3. Resolved: That the PMA recognize direct action as a legitimate tactic for the maintenance of our community’s health, safety, and well being.

4. Resolved: That the PMA will commit to exploring how groups and constituencies can stand in solidarity with local movement and groups engaged in direct action to provide housing for all.

Porque: La vivienda es un Derecho Humano. 
 
Porque: El gobierno municipal, estatal y federal no puede hacer frente a la crisis de vivienda. 
 
Porque: No son los bancos, sino nuestra comunidad que pueda tomar la decisión de no permitir que hayan personas sin hogar y casas sin habitantes en nuestra comunidad. 
 
¡Ya Basta! Este es un llamado a unirse y organizarse en la defensa del control de nuestra comunidad de las viviendas y tierras. 
 
1. Se resuelve: Que el PMA reconoce la vivienda como un derecho humano. 
2. Se resuelve: Que el PMA apoya el control comunitario sobre la vivienda porque ni el mercado de la vivienda, ni los gobiernos de la ciudad, el estado y la nación no pueden cubrir la necesidad imperativa de una vivienda para todos. 
3. Se resuelve: Que el PMA reconoce la acción directa como una táctica legítima para el mantenimiento de la salud, la seguridad y el bienestar de nuestra comunidad. 
4. Se resuelve: Que el PMA movilizará para defender y apoyar a los movimientos locales y grupos involucrados en la acción directa para proporcionar vivienda a todos.
